Bulova 14K Gold Extended Lugs US Made Automatic

Bulova was a Swiss American company with most of their automatic movements made in Switzerland.  The solid 14K gold extended louvered lug watch is a nice example of a rare American made automatic in a unique case.  The 14k yellow gold screw back case measures 33mm in diameter and 42mm from lug tip to lug tip.  The L8 case code dates the watch to 1958.  The case is in very good buffed condition.  The original 2 tone silvered dial with raised gold markers is in very good condition with some lacquer bubbling that is not readily visible with the naked eye.  The acrylic crystal is clean and clear, the crown is a replacement.  The high 23 jewel Bulova caliber 10BPAC movement has 23 jewels, automatic wind, Kif shock protection, and is marked 6 adjustments.  The movement was just serviced by my master watchmaker and is running fine, keeping time with automatic wind functioning as it should.  The watch is fitted with a new Hirsch leather strap and is ready to wear.
