14K solid Gold Lord Elgin 2 Tone Hourglass Dial

A very cool solid gold Lord Elgin with a 2 tone hourglass dial.  The 14K case measures 37mm from lug tip to lug tip and 29mm in diameter.  The case is in excellent condition with no dings, dents or deep scratches.  There  is an impression on the back that is probably from a nylon strap.  The mark could be buffed out but since it’s on the back of the watch it is better to leave the gold.  The dial is a new old stock genuine Elgin custom dial with gold applied arrow markers and a 2 tone hourglass design.  The crystal is new.  The 21 jewel American made Elgin grade 556 movement dates the watch to 1949.  These post WW2 Elgin movements are superb in level of finish and timekeeping  and rival the best of the Swiss movements from the same era.  The movement was recently serviced and winds, sets and keeps time properly.  The watch is fitted with a new Italian made lizard strap with a deployment clasp.
